Happy Finals Week!
Hello WNJR enthusiasts,
It is currently finals week at good old W&J. If you happen to see a student, please wish them good luck studying and finishing up the semester, if you see a faculty member, please wish them good luck grading!
The semester is winding down, so most student shows will air for the last time before Winter Break this week.
Please have a lovely Winter Break if you are a member of the college, and no matter who you are, have a wonderful holiday season!
We will hear from you all in 2014!

Enjoy Cuban Band Buena Vista on WNJR
The Buena Vista Social Club was a members-only club located in the populous Marianao neighborhood, in Cuba's capital Havana. Buena Vista means "good view" in Spanish. It was a member's club, that held dances and musical activities, which became popular in 1940s. In the 1990s, nearly 50 years after the club was closed, it inspired a recording made by Cuban musician Juan de Marcos González and American guitarist Ry Cooder with traditional Cuban musicians, some of whom were veterans who had performed at the club during the height of its popularity.

Jil Aigrot on WNJR
Enjoy the the songs from an album "Words of Love" by french theater
actress and singer Jil Aigrot on WNJR 91.7.
Marion Cotillard's OSCAR-winning portrayal of the legendary Edith Piaf in the
film "La vie en rose' owes a great deal to the vocal talents of JIL
AIGROT. While Cotillard brought Piaf to life with her spot-on
performance as France's grand-dame of song, it is Aigrot's
voice that the audience
hears.
This self-produced
album "Words of Love" is an homage to the music of France's national diva Edith Piaf.
